Can you imagine the people gathering around and harassing God for not giving people equal opportunity to be priests? We don’t really know who God is, and we don’t know what true equality is. Let us seek forgiveness for our foolishness and arrogance.
16 The LORD said to Moses, 17 “Say to Aaron: ‘For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God. 18 No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; 19 no man with a crippled foot or hand, 20 or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles. 21 No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to present the food offerings to the LORD. He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God. 22 He may eat the most holy food of his God, as well as the holy food; 23 yet because of his defect, he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.’” –Leviticus 21:16-23

Equality from God would probably be equal and impartial condemnation of all. But instead, He chooses to save some from what we deserve.

I always find youthfully amusing that a mortal man ought to feel adequate in explaining a Supreme Being’s mind state on any topic. It is especially rich with irony when the topic being explained is those assuming authority or ability to preach a certain gospel! Well done.

Take it from a woman: Christian men are the ONLY men there are walking on to legs. What makes manhood?
If you ask yourself that question (actually answered from Gen.- through Rev.) you can only come to THAT conclusion.
What woman would like to be married to a pansy bodybuilder (they are too afraid to yours their muscles for anything but show). What woman would like a macho dude to beat them up? What woman would enjoy to be put down by a chauvinist?
If a man does not KNOW and FOLLOW Jesus, he is perishable goods. Who needs that?

Thanks for reading and commenting. You are correct, there is much to manhood. A man who lifts weights but is a coward is not much of a man. And a man who treats a woman like an animal is not much of a man. Both sides of the coin need to be taken into account. Good observations, men and women ain’t got things right period if they ain’t submitting and obeying God first and foremost.
God bless my friend!

This post draws on material from the covenant between the Israelites and God. The majority of Jewish folk believe that this agreement is eternal, however Christians tend to believe that Jesus replaced the old covenant when he died on the cross. Jesus was known for the time he spent with women, cripples, prostitutes and other social outcasts. He is quoted as saying that the rich would have a harder time getting into the kingdom of God. Keeping this in mind, would it be plausible that God does support equal opportunity and that humans create their own disadvantages? Let me know what you think, and thanks for the follow! 🙂

That’s an easy position for you to take, you know, being a white male and all.

Thanks for stumbling by my blog. I´m a Christian, but I suppose not a very good one. Not a bible reader and the last time I went to church I was probably in diapers. I´ll add my two cents for what they are worth. If you say HE doesn´t support equal opportunity I´ll agree. HE did make us different. And by nature, woman are better in certain tasks than man are and vice versa. Doesn´t mean woman can´t bench 300 pounds, but genetically they´re muscles are not as developed or as strong as man´s are. There are the exceptions but overall that´s a fact. Women think differently, have different tastes, overall there´s always the exception. And that is good. I think if HE did that it was for a purpose, maybe for diversity purpose and to balance out humanity. Just imagine if woman and men where the same. It would be boring first of all and it I don´t think the world would be in a worst place than it already is. Woman do balance things out and men also balance what women lack.
Stay Frosty.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Your are correct, God made us different and He did it for a reason, and yet we seem to hate that concept, we think it’s ‘not fair’ or that some how some one is ‘inferior’ if they do not serve the same purpose or have the same gifts etc. It is arrogant and tragic. In the mean time I hope that your blogging adventure goes well!

Just to complement your post.
Ephesians 4:11 KJV “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;”
Romans 12:6 “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;”
Treasure it… stay blessed.
shalom!
